Only Linux systems run on embedded systems only. As far as reasons for creating a GNU/Linux system or Linux system are concerned, it is a matter of understanding some of specifications, UI, usability, performance and more. . > Recently I came across this link, a literally cool computer ! > http://www.raspberrypi.org/faqs > Having a good horsepower computer at this price and power point opens > up new possibilities / opportunities. If the specs are clear and there is no existing group working in the area, then you should not hesitate to jump into it. Others will join in. The freedom that FOSS affords helps people to forge ahead by themselves. Copy-left lets the community preserve and sustain the freedom. > > 1. What is physical access to a community? Learn to interact through the Internet. Given your attitude, it would be better if you join an existing project. My suggestion: http://www.gnewsense.org/Main/JoingNewSense (it will be easy and there is plenty of scope for innovation... the community is also not huge). > 2.
