Folks,

There are genuine reasons to create a linux system, whether for the
purpose of distribution or not. For instance, some of my friends got
into linux-from-scratch because of a requirement they had to run a
linux system on a freshly taped-out x86 chip.

Recently I came across this link, a literally cool computer !
http://www.raspberrypi.org/faqs
Having a good horsepower computer at this price and power point opens
up new possibilities / opportunities. Now, if only we have a community
/ team to pull out a linux system on the said platform, commercial or
otherwise, it is quite possible to realize ideas that can benefit a
large number of students, children and others. Even otherwise, it is
good to have such know how at least as a hobby work.

1. Contributing to one of the main-stream community is obviously the
best thing to do. But I am of the opinion that, if the community is
physically in-accessible one cannot go much farther.
2. To inspire people shouldn't we need inspiring ideas. Is it possible
to inspire a student, let alone a community, by writing glue logic.

my 2 cents,
