Regarding Automated Parking Lot : - there are quite a few vendors in chennai itself, one company (I forgot the name of them) - but they are working out with Chennai Municipal Corporation - in a very big way, and also trying to use Solar Power for electricity.
This company is in Royapettah - where another company PDIL (Projects & Developements India Ltd) is situated. When I come to chennai I may get this name - if some one is really interested. This company is betting a lot, on Automated Parking Lot, in Tamilnadu. Also, when I worked in Bangalore, 3 years back - have seen Siemens Company (Electronic city) were trying to get an automated parking lot inside their premises - I do not know whether they have installed one by now.
