Basically you are being advised that there is really no alternative to
taking pains in life...

The corporate world and half baked techies are so full of UML, RAD and
what not.

It is so easy to think that one can be a great swimmer/skater without
going thro' pains.

It is impossible. I fall at least 5 times each day I learn skating.

I know it is the sure way to become a master at it and gain balance.

So much so that these days I enjoy falling. ;)

All software developers have to fully understand this kural.

"Ennamai inimai enakul akumthan
 unnal vilaiyum sirapu."

Also an abbreviated

"Idukkan varunkal naguga."

Translated to English, the above two refers to the importance of
enjoying pain.

Anyway coming back to the point finally ;),

A list apart is a great website for CSS frameworks. And there are also
quite a few websites where you can download superb templates.

I have bookmarked quite a few of them. I am still learning web
programming. So my list may not be exhaustive.

Basically there is no alternative to knowing the ins and outs of
something in engineering.

This applies to life in general too. You do a much better job when you
know what you are getting into.

Such general principles are usually violated at one's own peril.
