I am of the opinion that the first objective of such lists should be to help solve problems/answer queries. However, people should also abide by list rules as kg as posted in his response. Personally, I do find it very irritating to see one line inputs like +1 or me too, besides the top posting issues already discussed. A couple of suggestions: 1. Perhaps moderating new members' posting to the list can mitigate this problem. The moderators can gently remind posters about the proper etiquette and let the post come through. IMO, most people will get the idea after a couple of incidents. 2. In addition, the rules can be also be posted once a month, as a reminder, to keep all members on the same page (so to speak). IIRC, some of the ILUG lists practice the above. My two paises :) May there be peace be earth. -- Arun Khan _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
