Methinks he's aiming at some sort of mechanism to add/remove hosts/
servicesfrom the active monitoring list dynamically instead of changing
the config files and restarting the Icinga process.
Given the number of moving parts in this, I rather suspect that
Icinga 1.x would be a bad fit for this as it would require fairly
massive changes to the scheduler framework. It's possible, yes, but
it'd be a huge undertaking that would fundamentally change the very
nature of Core.
