Since it’s Friday, I’ll go ahead and ask about this. My father, who passed away last spring, worked for IBM from about 1959 to 1978. My mother was going through some things this week and found a letter of commendation he received for work with something called the “GEM Operating System Group” in early 1966.
Googling variations on “GEM Operating System Group” only turns up things much more recent, so I was wondering if someone on this list might have heard of it and be able to point me to more information.
