If you know of any current z/OS documentation that mentions an 80 character limit applicable to SYSIN, let me know and I'll submit an RCF. I have long used either FTP or allocated SYSOUT=(,INTRDR) to submt jobs with much longer SYSIN. The TCPIP Ref. states a limit of 254 for FTP FILE=JES, which is enforced (archaic and needless, IMO). JES3 has supported long SYSIN as long as I can remember; JES2 since z/OS circa 1.5. -- gil ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
