LOL at myself. As I watched this thread I couldn't help but think about
checksums, line counters, and things like that. I totally missed the
obvious /* or your equivalent.
Then again, I'd really expect *something* from SFTP that could be
checked on the client side for a transmission error - at the very least,
the absence of a completion message.
