Are there any messages in your transfer process that includes, begin records being transmitte, ending records transmitted?
Have you traced the process to see where it might be dropping records? Have you run a validated process? that is CSV File contains x number of records Transfer processed y number of records Mainframe received z number of records. My understanding is that SFTP or FTP does not have a lot of bells and whistles to confirm transmission of data. Just does what it can till it stops. It will usually work, but if there is an issue, then it does not have a lot of error recovery or checkpoint restart-ability. For for mission critical transmissions, some shops will purchase products (like connect direct, ndm, etc...) Can you show the output from your job that transmitted the data, and what the file looked like on the mainframe?
