maximum confidence of no accidental match within the data. I'd
suggest
71, probably the longest value in a SYSIN line.

Being precise, you won't get further than 57, because the longest delimiter you
can get is:

Although I can imagine Gill requiring continuation for the stringdefinition ;-)

But seriously, while the reason for longer delimiter is quite obvious,
the reason for delimiters "to the end of line" is not reasonable. One
can still choose conflicting delimiter, even if it's full-line.
