I have FZ running w z/OS 3.1, and it sounds like it did work earlier for you (ie it wasn’t an upgrade to 3.1 that changed).
Under: Edit, Settings, at the bottom are Logging and Debug. Debug defaults to 0 - None. This may give you what you need. Any changes to FTPDATA/FTPSDATA?
