I once compiled "Hello, World" into an NFS directory mounted from a Solaris server. Worked. And you can have program objects, shell scripts, and REXX execs in that sane directory.
The Idea should be to support UNIX directories in STEPLIB concatenation, and //STEP EXEC PGM='Long-Name'. SMOP, but does anyone want to bet? UNIX System Services grossly underreaches. -- gil ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
