I find George Kozakos's answer more satisfactory than yours.  There's
a question here that can reasonably be asked, and he provided a clear
answer.  If the information he provided is readily available elsewhere
(perhaps in the P[ro]Ops), the description of STCKCONV should provide
at least a cross reference to that publication.
