It's is lacking the "more advanced" tools that I am used to having on Linux. 
Part of the reason may well be due to EBCDIC. And due to the fact that z/OS is 
strictly a "commerical" system. I don't see z/OS being used "at home" (don't I 
wish!) or much in "educational" markets (anymore). And supercomputers? No way! 
It's not even, IMO, a very nice development platform. If it were, why is IBM 
"pushing" Rational and using workstation based Eclipse as the main interface? 
(ISPF really is a bit primitive, in today's environment.)
