Allocating 50% more common storage than you need is IMO a bad idea, particularly if it is just so you won't have to change your LOAD to CSVDYLPA. CSVDYLPA is not difficult to use. Get out the book, spend half an hour reading and ten minutes coding and avoid all of the other weird stuff that you are thinking of doing.
