JR, It's been a long time since I had a system that needed Type 4 SMF records :-D I just turned them off on four LPARs 6 days ago, along with 5, 20, 34 and 35.
I believe the SMF Type 30 subtype 4 superseded the Type 4 and 34 record. They may have some source control blocks in common but I do not believe that any of the Type 30 records inherit information from the records they replaced.
