Hello to the esteemed experts from a newbee,
in the scientific community I have often been presented the successful use
of Hugin.
Unfortunately, in my case it appears the hugin workflow in the output or
stitcher tab is buggy in the latest German version under macOS 10.14 as
well as in the the latest Hugin- Win 10 application.
It is about multiline scans under linear, professional studio conditions.
As an experienced computer user, but not an IT expert, I believe I have
worked through all the relevant tutorials to professionally merge four very
cleanly worked sections with exemplary
control points.
All the more regrettable then, when stitching them together, the error
message:

"There are no active images in the area defined for output.
Please check settings so that at least one image is in this area."

All four files are marked or selected as a batch in the "Photos" and
"Optimize" tabs.
*What then please is meant by "defined area for output"? And: what do I
have to do to activate them?*

As additional info, I could not do the "quick panorama preview", because
under the tabs "Assistant", "Preview", "Projection", "Move/Drag" and "Crop"
only an empty window with grid without images appears, but the control
points are pointed out in the upper right corner as follows:
"The images are connected with 599 control points. Mean error after
optimization: 0.0 pixels, max 0.0".
Under "Layout" I see one of the four tiles, when I click on it a white
frame appears briefly.
All this had led me to believe I could do without the "quick panorama
preview", assuming the final calculation would have enough information for
a very good result.

I hope the translations are clear, thanks for support where the small error
lies with me,

Kai
