Regarding code-writing tools, isn’t what companies claim to be Artificial Intelligence just copying code, perhaps translated from other programming languages, which is then run through static analysis tools? I agree that “big data” language analysis can be a useful component here, though increasingly I see it as obfuscating copyright violation. With plain LLMs, it is not obfuscated much, but this? My perhaps wrong guess: Companies cheat. It is nowhere near animate intelligence. Regards, Florian
