Also just my opinions... It's all we really have. :) All software has bugs. Any product, regardless of maturity, needs a way for the community to easily report potential bugs. Of course the original post is just one idea, there may be a better implementation...but I do feel the idea is quite sound (I've seen it in other projects). "Mature" projects like the BSD's, as one example, have bugs found in code that's been stable for years. Thank you Mark and friends for your tireless efforts, but we really can not think we are somehow better than other projects. In fact, most of the "software" I've had bad experiences with in my IT career have been "mature products with no or poorly-designed bug reporting tools". Maturity doesn't require stodginess. At the very least, more critical eyes on the code would help move us forward at a rapid pace via patch submissions, mailing list dialogs discussing perceived architectural issues, BCPs, etc. -- "America is a melting pot.
