I used (and, perhaps more relevant, was the sysadmin for) twiki for some time. While it is extremely powerful, it is also incredibly complex. I found it extremely difficult to maintain, particularly doing upgrades between versions, due to heavy intermixing of data and code (in templates, etc., you would have to manually port many customizations).
