Also without the deb installer you can test by yourself in your Ubuntu env the errors by manually copying the $HOME/src/harbour/contrib/hbide to the /usr/bin/ dir with this command:
sudo cp $HOME/src/harbour/contrib/hbide/hbide /usr/bin/. sudo chown root.root /usr/bin/hbide To cheche your permission in that file type ls -la /usr/bin/hbide My permissions are -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5597736 2010-04-21 01:39 /usr/bin/hbide Hope this helps Marco -- Linux Infinite Freedom
