Yes, it's a good idea. We need to deal with 
security though. On one hand there are server-level 
information (and tasks) we don't necessarily want 
to share with all clients. And there is server-side 
information which is not confidential, yet it can 
be exploited by hostile client.

All this means that we need some sort of 
authentication and multiple security levels on the 
server, and have each command associated with one 
of these levels. And this is even true for the server 
console, which can simply be regarded as a local, 
embedded client, which means there is no need to 
create separate code for local and remote admin 
consoles.
