Przemek is out of xharbour developer Not a god news.
Someone was out, but there was no name, at least where I followed it. Anyhow I don't see how someone out of xhb developer list could hurt Harbour development.
Can i request collaboration between two project? Anybody share this idea please post his note Here my vision of fact: Przemek is technical Guru, is genius that allow choice of High reliability in harbour
Przemek is probably the most qualified developer I ever had the fortune to meet, so neither his abilities, nor his attitude towards Harbour (even xhb) and other developers isn't a question for a second. xhb and Harbour would nowhere near it is without his contribution. This is software development, and we aim to create code which is fit for mission critical uses, so every contributor has to accept technical facts and input (even criticism) from others. This is how it works. This doesn't mean we should be rude, or not value others contributions, but when there is something wrong, we must give a signal and we must accept educated opinions. Przemek's last comment on Miguel's work were perfectly in line with these, the answer of Ron Pinkas though was the kind of response which made the Harbour/xhb split happen back then. Luckily, such e-mails are absent from this list since then, and the results are easy to see.
Xharbour in past not remember copyright code copied from xharbour
Few xhb developers (one exactly) and project leaders (one exactly) don't seem to want to comply with normal ethics and laws (and not able to discuss something on pure technical merit). This is unfortunate, but since we're mostly developers and not lawyers here, IMO we should focus on continuing development, and reject developers from this project who can't comply with these basic rules and just wastes our time and spirit with such matters.
Harbour have more activity that xharbour.org
I hope this and above facts, plus the fact that Harbour is now practically compatible with xhb, just with a much more solid ground and more feature (and done right), will turn users and developers towards Harbour.
Harbour and Xharbour must join effort to be more competitive Wich solution you see for cooperation?
We've always valued contributors who can endorse our development style (which values technical approach since the beginning). This is still true, we had several contributors coming from xhb, and the doors are still open: xhb (and former Harbour) contributors are welcome on our list.
