out CODEPAGE symbols.
If there is no posting on this by the weekend I will update it as
necessary.
It will still process the codepage files but will output to a
separate file.
Thank you, it'd be very good.
Additionally, with the simpler folder structure (obj\ bin\) I'll
simplify the list of folders for exclusion.
This should work already, only a minor modification was needed AFAICS.
Better if you check it though :)
I know that the contrib files are not to be listed within
hbextern.ch but is there merit to listing them within a new file
hbcontrib.ch?
Contribs are usually used alone or in unique combinations,
so one unified hbcontrib.ch which lists all public symbols
in all of them would be just rarely useful.
Instead, there could be one such file generated for each
contribs in their own directory. We already have such file
for a few ones: rddads (adsextrn.ch) and hbgd (gdextern.ch).
If you develop such feature, pls make it self configurable
(= without any hardcoded listing or internal information on
contribs), so that it works with any contrib list without
maintenance.
FInally, we should decide about generated filenames. Should be
8.3, should be formed from the libname (= dirname) and
shouldn't collide with existing headers.
One choice is using a special extension: .che or .chx (or
something like it).

Viktor
