I still would split packages, as whether a guix user would just use
g-golf (in a geiser-guile repl) to experiment or when trying developing
their lib/app, or when trying oe of the distributed example, they have
to use --no-grafts:

is this requirement documented somewhere in guix by the way?

Assuming you split as suggested, all example scripts could be
(automatically) 'guix patched' to pass the --no-grafts option (?). This
would also show guix users how to launch their own app, when using
guix.

Splitting 'right now' will give 'you' an additional bit of work, but
imo, it is 'the way to go', so why not doing it 'right now'.

Hopefully, guix will fix this --no-graft requirement, then those g-golf
and examples related --no-graft patched may be suppressed.

Thanks,
David
