In my mind, I was thinking about merging fpga and electronics, sorry.

Looking at it more in detail.

The problem is that now, we have fpga, electronics (mostly sigrok
related), engineering and even ftdi (in its own module ??). In there, we
randomly mix low level, mostly hardware related software, with high
level pcb viewers and designers, acquisition, rtl modeling, logic
synthesis, (co) simuation, waveforms, programming ... what about asics ?
Rtl is not necessarily attached to fpgas, nor it is systemc.

Two options at this point: we keep on happily dropping loosely related
packages somewhere (is that a problem, after all ?); or we create a new
team (if there is interest on participating) to organise and maintain
these packages (I volunteer).
