Perhaps a better way to do it would be through community pressure. Would it be possible for our favorite Canadian to highlight those beginners with a "significantly" low Y-index so that they would be easily recognizable on the LoG? http://babyl.dyndns.org/golf/book.xml That way, it would be clear to everyone that they were out of place and we could post humorous (but firm) requests for them to move up with the big boys. If that is acceptable to Yanick, I think it might help the situation and prevent the addition of yet another category (newbies) that would end up with too much disparity. Thoughts? BTW, here are Perl Golf's three most wanted beginners. According to the LoG (which does not include TPR(0,3) data), all three have normalized Y-indexes of -4. Zephyr "the snake" McLaughlin Rafael "el ladrón" Garcia-Suarez Philippe "le renard" Bricout Congrats to Michael Wrenn for promoting himself during TPR(0,3).
