Brad, I don't think the version of Windows is relevant to this problem, do you? I understand you're trying to help, but sometimes asking about versions and dumping info about them just creates noise that makes it harder to get to the root of the problem. Other times version info is essential, so some thought is necessary to decide which are the most important questions to ask. Also suggesting that people upgrade, in cases where that probably isn't the issue, could demotivate them from trying to work through the problem at all.
