Hi Dragos/GNUCash users, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7 - it looks like Windows 7 was released in July 2009 and extended support ended in January 2020, so I do not know if it is a good idea to keep using that version of Windows...
Even Windows 8 extended support ended in July 2023, according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_8 It looks like support for Windows 10 will end in October 2025 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10 Does the hardware you currently have work on Windows 10? If not and you do not want to purchase new hardware, you could consider installing & using a version of Linux - https://distrowatch.com/ Some downsides to that incremental approach are that the older hardware may not receive BIOS & driver updates... --- Thanks, Brad - https://www.facebook.com/brad.morrison.12327/ & https://nextdoor.com/profile/01mP46jj8KCzj3sP4 & https://norcal.social/@BradMorrison On 2025-05-25 03:59, Dragos Puri wrote: > Hello Brad, > > I'm on Windows 7. > > It seems that Gnucash version 5.11 works fine on Win7, if I use older Gnucash > Android version 2.4.0 exports. > So I think I'll stick to this combination.
