The GnuCash import process is designed for manual operation of the matching
step. An attempt to import 30,000 transactions is not likely to ever be
automated. At least not with anywhere near an acceptable level of accuracy.

I would review my plan and goals and modify them to be more doable. In
fact, I myself am planning to keep old records in their original program
format instead of importing them into GnuCash.
