I've read the postings in this thread, and it is not clear if the OP (Peter) was actually moving to a new machine, or just wanting GnuCash updated to 5.9 on his current machine.
It is also not clear how/why there are two versions of GnuCash installed. If you are NOT moving to a new machine, just update the 4.13 version to 5.9, and everything should be fine... I would certainly recommend backing up the files just in case. If you actually have to move the reports to a new place for some reason, you will need to look at the reference data. My reports are pretty simple, and can be re-created if necessary, so I don't often remember to grab them.
