Phyllis,

The  Account Smmary lists the balances at a specific date for specified
accounts  which you set in the General tab of the Edit->Report Options
dialogue. If you choose the Date and set it to 31/7/24. It doesn't list
the changes to the accounts in the month but by producing a report for
the previous months balances and subtracting them you can get the
changes in a month. This requires importingeach monthly balance report
into spreadsheets then subtracting them toget the changes

You could try generating a Transaction report for the period selecting
the monthly subtotal in the General options and set the date range for
the month in the General tab. There is an option in the Sorting tab of
the report options to not display the individual transactions and just
the totals for each account.  If you select more than one accountin the
Accounts tab of the options you should get the monthly totals for each
account Unfortunately it does not sub total the debits and credits
separately which would be nice. The grand total is displayed in either
the debit or credit column depending on whether the sum represents a
debit or credit change in the balance.

You possibly want to clarify exactlty what information you want or need
to present in the monthly reports first then work out how to obtain it
and customise the reports to your needs.
