John to get the latest file, a. save your existing for reference to a different directory b. delete the existing accelerator-map from your GNC_USERCONGIR_DIR. c. restart GNUcash and the new will be appear in your GNC_USERCONGIR_DIR d. make necessary changes you want in the new file

The file with the commented-out lines is still present but seems to be ignored. The key accelerator for Double line mode is still working though, but not the other 3 I had. I am running on a recent nightly build of v5.1 (2023-04-30), which fixed the online quotes problem for me, but the accelerator keys are still not working. I had reported this problem on the list in v5.0, but got no response.
