Hello, I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre Edge 72, Type 3493, Model H3G, Product ID 3493H3G, Date 1305, Intel Core i3, with 8GBG RAM. It is running a fully up-to-date Debian 13 Trixie with KDE. Its output is normally connected to the second HDMI input of a Samsung 27 inch 1920x1080 monitor. I have logged in using ssh from my main computer which uses the first HDMI input to the monitor, but have been trying to configure software which provides a GUI on the direct computer output. I connected a second monitor to another output from the Lenovo, but the image displayed just the standard background without the standard bottom left "Menu" icon or the lower panel. The mouse RH button opened a very restricted screen menu, and I was able to access the standard personal configuration menu, but it did not appear to offer any help. I gave up, unplugged that monitor, then discovered that the main output from the Lenovo is also showing just the normal background without the bottom left "Menu" icon or the lower panel. Ctl+Alt+F2 showed me a normal GUI login screen but with no keyboard input, Ctl+Alt+F3 allowed me to login via a text screen, while Ctl+Alt+F1 reverted to GUI background only. The computer has been restarted, left off for a while and then re-started, but I can't find any relevant Menu item, I can still do a remote ssh login, but KDE appears to have crashed, and the only option I seem to have left is to re-install Debian.
