The consensus was that we cannot merge this PR until we have adequate testing in place. I created an issue to track the work at https://github.com/apache/datafusion-comet/issues/1366 but I don't think that anyone is working on this yet. Would you have bandwidth to help with adding some initial tests in the Comet repo?
