OK, you chose striped. That gives more space but no redundancy. If one of those drives goes bad you probably lose everything. Better to choose mirrored if you want your data to be safe, assuming you don't have a second TrueNAS box or some way to back it up. Anyway, a simple NFS server with LVM sounds like it would make you happy, and happy is or should be what life is about, so go make yourself happy! ;-) But learn about and use RAID or you're dancing on the head of a pin for reliability.
