That wasn't his question. We wants to play video, but not record video. He wants to run the frontend with no backend anywhere. I'm pretty sure that mythtv doesn't work at all without the backend (as in, there is no backend present on the network at all). I haven't hacked around in the code though, so didn't want to say this without *knowing,* but I haven't heard of a configuration without the backend. Justin -- gentoo-user@gentoo.org mailing list
