Hi! Many ML subscribers are getting hundreds of posts every day. So looking through them takes time / is often a pain in the ass. Everything that decreases the screening process has great chances to be skipped, trashed, ignored.
If my brain has to filter lots of stuff to get to the actual information / question I tend to just press <Del>. Since 99% of all posters use simple, clean plain text every HTML-post is something outstanding, needs a second (or third) look - slows me down. You do the math.
