Live DVD images are often too old, unfortunately. E.g. on the spring 2014 (when I had need for such fast install) the latest image was from Dec 2012. Updating 1 year ~5 month old installation afterwards is no fun. Right now dvd image is 11 month old, which is no good too. However, dvd images made no earlier than half a year ago from ~amd64 will be just fine for such needs. Best regards, Andrew Savchenko
