I object to that, let's not make it harder to enter incubation. It is of course better to select a good name before entering incubation, but forcing that is not necessary, as a podling doesn't have an "official" existence until it graduates. In summary, I think podlings SHOULD perform a ASF name search before entering incubation, but that's not a MUST. We often hear that things at the ASF are more complicated than they should.
