I think DeviceMap will want to control its device data, so using external data sets on which we have no control is probably not the best option. Supporting various data sets, however, might be interesting to allow comparisons, as some data sets might be more suitable to certain types of applications. I would also encourage people who manage their own data set, as you seem to be doing, in joining forces with DeviceMap on test suites for those data sets. Sharing (anonymized) lists of user-agent values that people see on their websites in different markets, for example, can be very useful in testing. >...Both > the free and premium data set is already integrated into the Apache > Mobile Filter (http://fiftyone.apachemobilefilter.org/). Ok - various strategies for matching devices to their data are definitely in scope for DeviceMap, so if you want to join the devicemap developers list once it's announced (here, once the podling is voted in) to discuss this in more detail you're very welcome! -Bertrand --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: general-unsubscr...@incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: general-h...@incubator.apache.org
