I believe LibreOffice accepts contributions under any license that is compatible with LGPLv3, including the Apache license. But anyway, contributions can be made to the "New Thing" project and then used by the "Business-As-Usual" project if that's what the contributor wants. > Second, I am strongly against adopting any name other than OpenOffice. In which case Apache should get the trademark from Oracle as soon as possible, put it to use on a valid distribution as soon as possible, and challenge the application.
