This whole Elba thing, with LGPL code "temporarily" being used, seems to be a kind of favoritism towards Geronimo not available to other Apache projects, which must excise all connections to LGPL (and GPL) code.
Just to put this straight, Elba is 0 from an Apache POV. It has never been proposed before AFAIK to Apache members, and is not part of Geronimo. Some developers have started Elba IIUC in an effort to make it possible for some users to use both Geronimo and Elba in their projects, but this has nothing to do with the Geronimo Project nor Apache, and is in the sole private responsibility of those that cater for it.
