The issue there is that cvs2svn doesn't / didn't at the time support detecting moves, so moves from before the conversion to SVN aren't represented as such. People have talked about wanting to move files to various new subdirectories of the gcc directory, rather than having so many files all at the same directory level. I suggest that the time of moving a file to such a new subdirectory would be an appropriate time also to rename it to use .cc, rather than having two separate moves. -- Joseph S.
