Most of it is implemented in mainline Clang already. Here is a recent talk describing it: http://llvm.org/devmtg/2012-11/Gregor-Modules.pdf Doug is also the chair of the C++ working group on modules, leading the effort to standardize it (along with Lawrence and others). -Chris
