I think most of them are. Maybe we should diagnose the cases where we hit these limits.
That would be a good idea. One other compiler I work with frequently (the Intel Fortran compiler) does just that. However, either it doesn't have or their marketing department doesn't want you to know about knobs to tweak these decisions :-)
