  Use whichever package manager ubuntu provides to check the version of the
glibc package.  Here's an example fron a centos (using rpm):

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$ rpm -q glibc
glibc-2.3.4-2.36
glibc-2.3.4-2.36
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]$
