For your curiousity, no. I am comparing two write-access repositories
(CVS and svn+ssh).

I first need to update to openssh 4.0 which will take some time...

But indeed, if this single change gets speed comparable to cvs, I'll be
reasonably happy.

The main issue is really with svn status and the handling of versions and
branches which seems to be quite different and quite disruptive for cvs
users.

I'll wait for the outcome of this discussion. So far, it's not clear that svk
will fit well in my set up.
