This is where I've already started, just trying to get an idea of what is going on inside the compiler. Is there any documentation of this sort already? I think I know the answer to that question, but figure it doesn't hurt to ask... ;) I'm likely to pull my old UltraSPARC out of retirement (it hasn't been turne don in months), just so I have something other than x86_64 and x86 to look at. ..Scott
